Avenue Design Studio is a boutique interior design practice dedicated to crafting layered, highly functional, and deeply personal spaces that stand the test of time. Through a collaborative approach with architects, contractors, and artisans, we create interiors that honor architectural integrity and environmental context while seamlessly balancing creative vision with our clients’ needs—ensuring each space is a true reflection of their story.

Founder Holly Marder is an interior designer and photographer with an innate sensitivity to beauty and an instinctive feel for textiles, colour and spacial authenticity. Holly has a keen stylist eye and her strength lies in layering the studio’s designed interiors down to the final detail, evoking emotion through light and balance in every space. Along with her role as head designer and creative director of Avenue Design Studio, Holly manages all marketing and visual communications, as well as the day-to-day runnings of the studio, the team and the international projects. 

The Avenue aesthetic reflects its founder’s international background across Australia, Africa, and Europe. With a focus on materiality and tactility, our interiors embody timeless elegance—pared back yet richly layered, effortless yet meticulously detailed. Each space strikes a harmonious balance between relaxed and refined.

The studio is led by Holly and supported by a close-knit team of interior architects, designers, and freelance creatives, all working together to bring her vision to life.

What makes Avenue Design Studio unique is its ability to work across the design spectrum from conceptualisation to completion. For a client, this means a simplified design process with fewer layers of communication; we deal with all aspects of our interior design projects from concepts and design to material selection, furniture design, styling, art and accessories curation, and eventually, styling and photography of the finished space.
